Grandville's Early Childhood Special Education program meets the needs of children ages 3 to 5 years who have developmental delays. Each child is unique, and eligibility is determined through an evaluation by our early childhood diagnostic team. For children who qualify, staff work with families to create an Individualized Education Program, or IEP, that outlines services and support. Services may include speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and/or social work.

The ECSE program meets Monday through Thursday, typically for half days. Children build communication, social, motor and early learning skills through play-based activities and meaningful interactions. Through hands-on learning, structured routines and individualized support, children gain confidence, develop their abilities and learn alongside their peers in a caring classroom community.
